A slew of officials, leaders and stakeholders gathered this week in Trenton to sign a new Project Labor Agreement (PLA) for the $5.7 million renovation project happening at Trenton Thunder Ballpark.
The PLA guarantees the hiring of union labor from local building trades unions for the project – as well as payment to support a living wage.
“It’s a place that brings families and communities together, and it brings people into Trenton throughout the region,” said Benson. “Today we’re making a commitment that we’re going to do this project the right way by hiring union workers from the building trades, who live right here in Mercer County and have a stake in the community.”
